Healing at Your Own Pace: A Trauma-Informed Approach

Hi my name is Trevor ,I hold a Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling, equipping me with the expertise to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health support.  Ensuring that every individual feels heard, understood, and supported in their healing journey.

Recovery from trauma is a deeply personal journey, and no two paths look the same.  Honoring each individual’s unique experience and pace of healing. Specializing in PTSD and CPTSD, I understand that recovery takes time—sometimes longer than we’d like—and that the process can be frustrating, exhausting, and even disheartening. I truly believe that everyone can recover, but that doesn’t mean everyone will or that they should feel forced to. What matters most is finding what works for you, and I promise to walk side by side with you as we figure it out together. What has shaped my work the most is my own lived experience.

I know firsthand that healing isn’t easy, and sometimes just having someone truly hear and understand you can make a huge difference. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a peer worker and a crisis supporter at Lifeline, walking alongside people during some of their hardest moments. Those experiences reinforced my belief in the power of connection and the importance of being met with compassion, not judgment. In my practice, I use a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and some Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), depending on your needs. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, validated, and supported as you navigate your recovery—at your own pace and in your own way. Together, we’ll explore what healing looks like for you, with no pressure or expectations, just a deep commitment to your well-being.

Hopefully you can feel less alone here, as we walk this journey together
